Sea la Vie is located just a short ten-minute walk from the ocean through the quaint seaside cottage community of Lakeside at the end of a country lane. Or take your bike or car and you will be at the beach in minutes!
Surrounded by farmer's fields, we are in a peaceful, pastoral setting on a 2/3 acre property with a huge grassy area protected by trees - plenty of room for camping, parking, bonfires, and outdoor games. And you'll even have peekaboo ocean views of St. Peter's Lagoon from the cottage deck!
The cottage is cozy and inviting with a wonderful sunroom, a fully equipped kitchen, sitting area by the kitchen, two bathrooms (one on each level), a large loft space for sleeping with a queen-size bed, electric standing/sitting desk, clothing storage, a sun porch that doubles as both a breakfast and games room, plus a main deck, bbq on a patio and an upper balcony (to be built spring 2025).
The sports shed is equipped with outdoor games and lots of beach equipment. And the laundry room is equipped with a brand-new washer and dryer (laundry soap is included for your convenience).
And coming in May - we will be installing a hybrid wood-fired and electric cedar hot tub for the ultimate in ambience and relaxation!

The beautiful three-season 16' x 12' sunroom is a recent addition and has become the heart of the cottage. Sunrooms are a necessity in PEI as it allows cottagers to feel as if they were outdoors but yet protected from those pesky mosquitoes.
The vinyl windows offer 3/4 ventilation to allow for cooling breezes throughout the day. Move the windows up or down to tailor your breeze! In the evening, draw the curtains and enjoy the cozy ambience.
Being a one-bedroom cottage, the sunroom can also double as a second bedroom as it comes with a very comfortable pullout double bed as well as a daybed that converts to two twin beds or one king size bed at night. It's completely private for sleeping (with curtains for every window and door), and it offers easy access to the main-level bathroom.
Kitchen
The main area of the cottage has hardwood flooring with jute area carpeting. The exposed wood ceiling and beams, coupled with the spiral staircase made of pine gives the cottage a true "cottagey" feel.
The kitchen is equipped with new appliances including a 3/4 size refrigerator, stove with air fryer, microwave, coffeemaker, kettle, lobster pot, and all the cutlery, dishware, glassware, and cookware that you would need.
We also provide condiments and dried goods in mason jars so that all you need to bring is your food and beverages.
Note: New upper cabinetry has just been installed over the sink area late last fall and we haven't even seen this yet (updated photos to come)!
Porch
The inviting side porch doubles as the main entrance to the cottage and is also our dining room/games room (note - we have lots of games courtesy of our daughter and son-in-law!).
There is storage for shoes and coats plus lots of extras including mosquito repellent and suntan lotion.
It's a welcoming space with lots of screened windows for cooling breezes. And at night the fairy lights strung along the ceiling give a wonderful ambience.
Sitting area
The main area of the cottage is open concept. It encompasses the well-equipped kitchen, a breakfast counter and a small sitting area where you can read a book, have a conversation with the chef or watch TV.
A three-piece bathroom adjoins the space, a bookshelf filled with books is positioned in the corner and a beautiful pine spiral staircase leads to the upstairs sleeping loft.
Main level bathroom
The bathroom on the main level was recently updated and is finished in shiplap and has a full bathtub, toilet and floating Ikea vanity with lots of storage for toiletries.
When staying at the cottage, we supply all your towels including beach towels as well as shampoo, conditioner, soap, hair dryer, and toilet paper.
There is no need to bring any of this! We want your stay to be easy!

The loft/bedroom
Reached by a spiral staircase, the loft is a large bedroom complete with a queen-size bed with under-bed storage, cabinets for clothes storage, side tables, and a desk (note - we still need to update this picture of the loft with our most recent purchase).
We recently added a cozy two-piece bathroom in the loft for your convenience.
Coming up in spring 2025:
A large new balcony will be built off of the loft. It will be a wonderful place to have a morning coffee and watch the sunrise.
We are also planning to set up a space for workouts which will include a treadmill, weights, and yoga mats!
Camping
Situated at the end of a quiet road in the heart of a cottage community, our 2/3 acre property is private. The cottage is located on one end of the property and the other end is comprised of a large grassy area surrounded by trees and ideal for camping.
Surrounding the perimeter of the property is a farmer's field and on the other side of the field, you will catch glimpses of St. Peter's Lake lagoon! It's an ideal place to pitch a tent or trailer as we are just a short walk away from the most incredible beach. Plus we have a beach wagon and other beach equipment that you can borrow.
Pitch a tent or pull up a trailer. We can supply access to water and electricity. There is a funky and clean outhouse close to this grassy area as well as a private outdoor shower behind the cottage with hot and cold running water.
Enjoy a bonfire under the stars and use the green space for outdoor games. We have badminton, bocce ball and more! Contact us if you are interested in camping!*
